Our Story

Definitely Different Boutique founder Shauree Daniels was raised in Detroit Michigan where she learned to design almost everything she wore. While studying business at Lawrence Tech in Michigan, she realized that she wanted her own clothing store. The personal dedication her parents showed to their floral business inspired her to have a business of her own.

For Shauree, creating clothing is an intimate process. Before deciding on a fabric/material, she thinks about how a design will be used and where it will be worn. Once she’s ready to cut a pattern, she treated the raw material as a second skin. Completely opposed to an industrial approach, she guided the fabric as if it were a living being.
